in the news

I recently had a couple of pieces end up in publication, both with the Janie Molster Designs out of Richmond VA.

The first made the cover of Flower Magazine, and was the family room at the Nashville Design House. JMD commissioned 4 tables in bold patterns to intersperse in the room, which featured hand painted striped walls and lots of original art including some fabulous photographs by Nicole Wells. It’s worth the look on Janie’s website to see the full thing. The cover features the large (there’s also a small)  multi-colored drum table, for which we chose 5-6 colors for in a commercial-art inspired pattern. Also on the cover, reflected in the mirror is my partner, Roderick Coles’s painting.  Pretty snappy to both be there together.

Also in this month’s House Beautiful (The Color Issue),  Janie Molster Designs reimagines a Charleston home with bold colors and a 70’s vibe.  They commissioned 2 large textured paintings to flank the fireplace.  In the dining room,  there is some Kelly Wearstler’s wallpaper and an incredible wall weaving by Kenny Nguyen, that you should see.

The cover photo credit is photographer Leslee Mitchell, and the below image is by Carmel Brantley.
